I'm Uzair Ansari. I grew up in Pakistan and moved to Saudi Arabia two years ago, into a country that keeps handing me light I've never shot before.

Nine years behind the camera. Mountains and landscapes, portraits, events, adventure work, commercial shoots. Different subjects, same problem every time: read the light, find the frame, and be ready about four seconds before anyone else notices something is happening.

The mountains are where I learned that. You can't rush weather, and you can't rush a summit. You set up, you wait, and you stay present long enough for the shot to come to you. Patience isn't a personality trait in this work. It's a technique.

That's what you're hiring. Nine years of difficult light and awkward conditions, and the ability to work quickly without making anyone feel rushed. I'll ask questions before the shoot, because the story decides the pictures. Then I'll hand you images that don't just record what happened. They put you back in it.
